  so...i'm in a relationship,where my man lies alot about his gambling problem.of course.... .

  the thing is he tells me all men lie and basically saying...like him.

  generation shift - 1995 or 1984?

  i first came to know about the 1995 shift in the definition of a generation from this website, having not stepped foot into a kh, bar the odd funeral, since the early 90s.

  i recently had the opportunity to question my mother and aunt about the change in doctrine.

  in an apparently innocent way, i asked about the post great war generation dying out and what that meant for the prophecy.

  Perhaps the most graphic evidence of the change is seen in the masthead of the Awake magazine.

  Now From December 1982 until October 1995. 13 YEARS !!!!!!!!!!!!

  (please pick any Awake magazine from this time period and look on the inside cover !!!!!)

  Women ??? Are they moving up ???

  atteneded a catholic wedding on the weekend, it was strange, but nice, i don't know much of the catholic beliefs, talk was about an hour including hymns and songs and prayers, overall i thought it was well done.. one thing that caught my attention, the pastor giving the talk stepped down several times, and sat off to the side, as some women, read scriptures and talked to the audience (they were not nuns, all dressed as you would to go to a wedding), i was pleasantly surprised, i mean they had the whole stage and talked quite effectively, the pastor was very humble and praised the women for the job they did.

  are times changing in the religions ????.

  we all know this would never happen at the kingom hall.

  I think the new series is VERY WELL DONE, we get it about a week behind in Canada, anyone with satellite, it plays on CBC at 8:00 p.m Tuesdays,

  I would like to point out, that Christopher Eccleston did not quit, before the series was redone, he was only given a one year deal, and no one ever offered to renew it. Correct me if i'm wrong.

  When was Christ's invisible presence changed to 1914 ? first mention of it?

  kind of a continuation of my previous thread, does anyone know when christ's invisible presence was changed to 1914 form 1874 ???.

  the prophecy book (1929), mentions it as positively being in 1874, i've seen a few watchtowers from 1930 say the same.. surely there must of been a huge book or watchtower mentioning the change.

  this would of been the most important "new light" ever for witnesses.

  So from 1913-1930 nothing, no one mention of it, WOW !!!!!!!!, but Rutherford received "new light" on the end coming in 1925 & Beth Sarim, but not on Christ's invisible presence til the later 1930's.

  And if the faithful and discreet slave class started in 1919, how come they never knew either.

  How would a loyal JW explain this.

  no, it made me appreciate them more,

  growing up and being told all will die at the big A, and then realizing how much good there is in people that are not JW's.

  but it did destroy my view of GOD, he is definitely a big A,

  i was so discussed when they talked about the childrens (babies, practically).

  Yes i watched it, the light bulb went off when they said they were from the same congregation, but i am unaware if there were JW's.

  So are we 100% sure they were JW's ?????????????????????

  were they married JW's ?????????????????????????????????

  toughest question anyone can ask, if the love of your life, and mate/wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend messed around on you, whether it be once or for years, how would you handle it and what would you do, think about it slowly and carefully.. wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.. it's said that 50 % of marriages are affected by an affair, it's probaly alot higher.. did you notice any affairs in your congregation ???.

  if christ's invisble presence began in 1914 and he was put on the throne, how come no one noticed.

  surely this was one of the most important events in our time.

  surely with all the annoited still alive back then someone must of noticed, at least one person ?, surely jehovah would of shone the light on the faithful and discreet slave class ?

  I read the watchtowers from 1913-1929 ( www.ctrussell.us/ ), and not once was it mentioned that Christ's invisible presence began in 1914 in fact as late as 1929 it still talks about 1874. I was reading an excerpt from the prophecy book that was released in 1929. 15 years after the fact. It says :

  "The Scriptural proof is that the second presence of the Lord Jesus Christ began in 1874 A.D." Prohecy book 1929.
